Material
We use materials from Europe’s leading suppliers of technical fabrics, which meet our high standards for performance and durability. We aim to select multifunctional materials that perform well under a variety of conditions. Together with researchers, suppliers, and specialists, we continuously develop new material blends, and we hold both protected patterns and registered trademarks related to textile and material innovation. All materials and components in our products are OEKO-TEX® certified, and we are also certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
GORE-TEX-material
Gore-Tex® is a windproof and waterproof membrane with excellent breathability, used in garments to protect against harsh weather and keep the wearer dry. Taiga collaborates with Gore’s Technical Oriented Fabrics (TOF) division for professional users, where exceptionally high standards are set for material performance, garment design, and environmental impact. All garments are carefully tested and undergo strict quality control during production.
2L-GORE-TEX®
The Gore-Tex membrane is laminated to the outer fabric, while a loose-hanging lining on the inside protects the membrane and provides extra comfort. The material is windproof and waterproof with good breathability.
3L-GORE-TEX®
The Gore-Tex membrane is laminated between the outer fabric and the lining. The garments feel thin and flexible, yet are highly durable. The material is windproof and waterproof with good breathability.
GORE-TEX® MICRO GRID LINER
A very lightweight and durable material that can be laminated to the membrane in either a 2-layer or 3-layer Gore-Tex construction. In a 2-layer construction, the Micro Grid Liner is laminated to the membrane and acts as a loose-hanging lining. The air gap created between the outer fabric and the lining facilitates vapor transport even in extreme cold, and the spacing protects the membrane from punctures.
GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER®
A completely windproof material with high flexibility, excellent breathability, and water-repellent properties.
GORE-TEX CROSSTECH®
A windproof and waterproof laminate that provides protection against liquid-borne pathogens, blood, and bodily fluids, as well as common chemicals encountered in situations such as traffic accidents and rescue operations. Crosstech® is also incorporated in the TMB-Block material.
GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PYRAD® STRETCH
A stretchy, windproof and waterproof 2-layer Gore-Tex material with good breathability and multi-protection. It has antistatic properties and provides protection against heat and flame, contaminated blood and bodily fluids, as well as common chemicals—for example, in traffic accidents and rescue operations.

We continuously develop new, innovative materials in close collaboration with researchers, suppliers, and specialists. This development is driven by our users’ need for lighter, stronger, and higher-performing materials for demanding situations and environments.
TWP
A comfortable windproof and waterproof material combined with unique construction solutions and taped seams. It offers high comfort, long durability, excellent breathability, and weather protection.
TP-122
An extremely tightly woven poplin with stretch for increased comfort, made from polyester, cotton, and elastane. The two-ply, tightly twisted yarn combined with the dense weaving technique makes the material very durable and provides good wind resistance, water-repellent properties, and quick-drying performance.
TMB-BLOCK
The protective clothing system is designed to provide protection against harsh weather, liquid-borne contamination and infection, as well as splashes from chemicals such as gasoline, battery acid, firefighting foam, and chlorine. The standard is based on ISO 16604, which we have further developed and integrated into EN ISO 20471. Gore-Tex Crosstech® is included in this system.
CORDURA® POLYAMID AND COTTON
The material consists of equal parts Cordura® polyamide and cotton and is developed for tactical garments. It combines the best properties of both materials—durability and strength from polyamide, and comfort and thermal insulation from cotton. The fabric is not flame-resistant, but it burns slowly and chars rather than melting and dripping.
Other fabrics
POLARTEC® THERMAL PRO® HIGH LOFT™
A very comfortable material with exceptional insulation capacity relative to its low weight. It dries quickly and has excellent moisture management, making it ideal for cold conditions.
CORDURA® POLYAMID
Cordura® is a brand of extra-durable polyamide, particularly suitable for reinforcements on high-wear areas such as elbows and knees. The fabric is up to four times stronger than regular polyamide and resists both physical and chemical stress.
POLYAMIDE
An excellent material for performance garments that require high flexibility and durability. Its low weight relative to its strength makes it particularly suitable as an outer fabric, for example in jackets.
POLYESTER
A common material in functional garments thanks to its durability, moisture-wicking ability, and quick-drying properties. It is lightweight, resistant to chemicals, and retains its shape and color.
INSULATING PADDING
An excellent material for functional garments with high demands on flexibility and durability. Its low weight in relation to its strength makes it particularly suitable as an outer fabric, for example in jackets.
TENCEL™ LYOCELL
A comfortable and durable material with naturally antibacterial and moisture-wicking properties. It is wrinkle-resistant, colorfast, and resistant to chemicals. Additionally, the material is environmentally friendly, as it is made from wood fibers in a closed process where 99% of the chemicals are recycled.
WOOL
A versatile and durable natural material that regulates body temperature in both cold and warm conditions and efficiently wicks away moisture. Wool is naturally antibacterial, flame-resistant, and self-cleaning, requiring only airing to stay fresh.
